About Consilience Press
Consilience Press is the publishing imprint of kaOS. Its books are produced through human–AI collaboration, and it holds itself to a simple standard: a book that leaves this press should carry the evidence of how it was made. The method is the asset. The catalog is what the method produces.
Seventy-One Translations is the press's translation house. Its name recalls the council of seventy who, in the ancient tradition, first carried the foundational scriptures into a common tongue, with one who presided. It builds the same way today: a council of three frontier language models produces candidate renderings of a source text, and an independent judge scores each candidate on five weighted axes before any line is promoted. Only what clears the bar reaches the page. The translation in your hands is the imprint's flagship — a complete English Odyssey evolved line by line from the Perseus Greek text.
The full source catalogue behind this edition — 337 gathered sources, the five-axis scoring rubric, and a book-by-book account of the council's work — is documented in the Odyssey Press Source Review, available alongside this volume. Readers who wish to see the evidence behind the scorecard are invited to consult it.
